Dan's been feeling on edge lately. His father won't speak to him, or even look at him for that matter. And he feels like something is watching him. Following him.
Then one day, as Dan is on the bus going to school, he sees an unknown shadow creature in the woods. And it's after him. Even at school strange things are happening.
As soon as Dan gets on the bus to go home, the creature from the woods attacks him. Dan manages to escape, but he knows something is very, very wrong. After getting home, he confronts his father. But even his father won't tell him whats happening.
During the night, Dan's startled to find out that the creature came to his home, looking for him! Dan escapes again into the forest, but is quickly caught.
Soon, Dan arrives in Kalla. A magical world where only the things imagined roam. He quickly learns that an ancient prophecy has be awakened, a prophecy of salvation... or destruction.
