This is a collection of poems, thoughts, songs and short stories that I have written over the years. It is an update, or second edition, to the original book that I put together in 2003. I have added a number of additional writings since the first edition was completed. I did not publish the first book, but was able to create the book format with a word processor, and then bind the pages and cover together with a homemade "book jig" I built. The original book contained about a hundred and fourteen pages and I only made it available to family and friends at the time.
Maybe this book will bring some joy to your life. It's possible that it might bring a tear to your eye. It may cause you to think on life. And, it could very well, make you laugh outright! In any event, I hope it is as enjoyable to read as it was for me to write!

My grandmother was a school teacher and she wrote poetry as a hobby. She published a little poem book and titled it "Along the Way", in the mid 50's. I decided to try my hand at writing poetry around 1990. I compiled almost 300 poems over time and eventually put some of them together and made a book by following instructions that I gathered from the internet. I named the book, "Along Life's Way". On November 15, 2019, I completed a book titled, "Old Rover and Me." It is a hilarious story about a man and his dog around Christmas time.
